Counselling, psychotherapy, and clinical supervision in Skipton and Barrowford

As a senior accredited counsellor and psychotherapist, working both privately and in the NHS for more than 30 years, I have had the privilege of helping many people to overcome pain and despair in their lives.

Issues I have helped people through include: bereavement, loss, relationship problems, workplace bullying, work-related stress, childhood trauma (including abuse), physical illness, disability, social isolation, transition, depression, anxiety, phobia, obsessive compulsive disorder and post traumatic stress.

I work in a way that is jargon-free and explores not only the present circumstances of the person but also their past experiences and future aspirations, in relation to their difficulties.

My experience of life leads me to know of the magical spirit of the human being, of how a person can somehow restore themselves following great despair and also become stronger for the experience.

Born and raised in Yorkshire, I live in a small village near Skipton with my wife, two dogs and a cat.  I enjoy playing and listening to music, walking, and the odd pint of real ale in a good pub!
